Why Choose the Law Offices of Michael M. Peters?

What can we do for you? Mike represents individuals who have sustained serious personal injuries, and the families of people who have been killed in accidents. Mike has represented both, the injured party (“plaintiff”) and the defendant in serious personal injury cases all the way through trial. Mike has taken cases to trial for both, plaintiffs and defendants. Mike is also a highly-trained and experienced mediator of personal injury cases. This ability to see all sides of a case makes Mike uniquely qualified to review, evaluate and handle your case.

What we will do for you: Mike has a team of experts and consultant’s and the resources to put the team into action on your behalf. Whether its visiting the scene of the accident and reconstructing the events to prove a defendant’s negligence, reviewing medical records, conducting in-depth, exhaustive rehabilitation evaluations or calculating past, present and future loss of earnings, Mike will leave no stone unturned.

We have a reputation for results. Mike is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national association of leading and highly experienced trial lawyers and judges. Mike is rated AV Preeminent under Martindale-Hubbell’s peer rating system. Mike is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum in which membership is limited to attorney’s who have won million dollar verdicts and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.

We are skilled negotiators. A majority of personal injury cases do not go to trial. Most of them are settled out of court. It takes superior negotiating skills, experience and a track record of success to obtain a winning settlement for an injured client. Mike has those skills through his years of presenting cases at mediation for both, plaintiffs and defendants and through his specialized training as a mediator.

You can afford us. Since Mike only agrees to represent clients with whom he shares a common commitment, Mike operates on a contingency fee (“no recovery no fee”) basis. This means that Mike’s clients can have their legal needs met without paying for an attorney’s time on an hourly basis. Mike will collect his fee as a portion of the settlement and in many cases, costs incurred in pursuing the case can be paid upon conclusion of the case. If there is not recovery, there are no fees.

You will work directly with the experienced lawyer you hired. Mike will be your personal attorney from start to finish, working closely with you, your doctor’s, experts and consultant’s from the first meeting through settlement or — if necessary — trial.
